Seller Terms

These terms apply to every store ("seller", "you") that sells on Mall.lk, which is operated by Mall.lk ("we"). They are in addition to our Terms & Conditions. By opening a store you agree to them.

1. Your store

  • You must be at least 18 and legally able to sell in Sri Lanka. Give accurate business, contact and bank details and keep them up to date.
  • We may ask for proof of identity or business registration (NIC, BR certificate) before enabling payouts or online payments.
  • You are responsible for everything done through your login, including by staff you add.

2. Listings

  • Describe products honestly, with real photos, correct prices in LKR, accurate stock and any warranty you offer.
  • Only list products you have the right to sell. Do not use other people's photos or brands without permission.

3. Prohibited products

You may not sell:

  • illegal drugs, controlled medicines or prescription-only medicines;
  • weapons, ammunition, explosives or fireworks;
  • alcohol and tobacco products, including e-cigarettes;
  • counterfeit, replica or stolen goods;
  • adult content or services;
  • wildlife products, antiquities or anything protected by Sri Lankan law; or
  • gambling, financial products, or anything else that is unlawful or that we reasonably consider unsafe.

We may remove listings and suspend stores that break these rules.

4. Orders and delivery

  • Confirm or decline new orders promptly, normally within 1 working day, and dispatch confirmed orders within 2 working days unless you state otherwise.
  • Pack items safely and deliver to the districts and at the charges shown on your store.
  • Keep order statuses up to date so customers receive accurate SMS updates.
  • Use customer data only to fulfil their orders, in line with our Privacy Policy.

5. Returns and refunds

You must honour our Refund & Return Policy and Cancellation Policy. You may offer more generous terms, but not less. If a customer escalates to us, we may decide the outcome; for orders paid online through Mall.lk, we may refund the customer and deduct the amount from your payouts.

6. Payments, fees and payouts

  • For cash-on-delivery and bank-transfer orders, the customer pays you directly.
  • For orders paid online through Mall.lk, payment is collected by our payment gateway partner. We pay out the order value to your registered bank account, less any agreed commission and refunds, on the payout schedule shown in your dashboard.
  • Opening a store is free. Any subscription fees or commissions are shown to you before they apply, and we give at least 30 days' notice of changes.
  • You are responsible for your own taxes and business registrations.

7. Suspension and closing your store

You can close your store at any time after completing open orders. We may suspend or close a store for fraud, prohibited products, repeated complaints or unfulfilled orders, or breach of these terms. Amounts owed to customers may be held until disputes are resolved.
